Peekskill Bakery Scores 'Home Run' With Cake, Cupcakes For Yankees PEEKSKILL, N.Y. --- Talk about striking it rich -- as in lots of sugar and frosting -- and scoring a home run. Peekskill's Homestyle Desserts Bakery was the dessert maven behind a host of sweet concoctions -- think a four-tier cake, shortbread cookies, and cupcakes -- in honor of the retiring of Derek Jeter's No. 2 jersey. Cake Fairy Works Sugary Magic In New Harrington Park Store HARRINGTON PARK, N.J. -- Helen Maginn of Harrington Park is thrilled to be able to combine her two loves: baking and art. After years baking at home, she is opening a cake studio not far from where she lives.
