Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Officer Fires At Elizabeth Man Who Pulled Gun, Authorities Say A 19-year-old Elizabeth man who was shot at by a police officer after he allegedly drew a weapon Friday has been arrested, the Union County Prosecutor's Office said.  Police were called to the 400 block of Vine Street around 10 p.m. Friday, where they spotted Cesar Garcia-Lemus, authorities said. Garcia-Lemus pulled a .38 caliber handgun and was told to stop by a police officer, authorities also said.  When Garcia-Lemus did not comply, an officer fired a single round. Newark Man Burned When Can Of Cooking Spray Explodes A man suffered burns to 20 percent of his body in a cooking accident Sunday in Newark, authorities said.  Newark firefighters extinguished a small fire that broke out at around 1:45 p.m. at 48 1/2 3rd Street.  Firefighters determined that a can of nonstick cooking spray kept near the stove exploded, causing burns to the victim's face, chest and stomach. He was taken to University Hospital for treatment.  The cause of the fire was deemed accidental, authorities said.
