Road Worker Hit By 'Impatient' Driver In Monsey Is Back On The Job MONSEY, N.Y. -- A highway maintenance supervisor is lucky to be alive after being hit by a car in Monsey earlier this month, according to the state Department of Transportation. Johnathan DeGraw, a father of two from Montebello, was flagging traffic for a pothole patching job on Route 306 when the unidentified, and apparently "impatient," driver started honking at him, the DOT said in a Facebook post. Abandoned Boat From Congers Washes Onto Beach In Jersey Shore CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- Authorities are trying to locate the owner of a yacht that washed up on a beach in New Jersey this week, according to Sgt. 1st Class Gregory Williams of the state police’s Marine Services Bureau. The “Mel Rae,” also called “Daddy’s Girl,” appears to be out of Congers in Rockland County, Williams said. Two Charged With Stealing At Yorktown's Jefferson Valley Mall YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A 19-year-old Mohegan Lake woman is facing charges of endangering the welfare of a child in connection with a shoplifting case, according to Yorktown police. Nicolette Casatelli was arrested at Sears at the Jefferson Valley Mall around 9:40 p.m. Saturday, police said. She and an unidentified 15-year-old were accused by store personnel of trying to steal about $800 worth of clothing, police said.
