The Key Food store on Welcher Avenue was hit Saturday night by an armed man, just four days after the Stop & Shop on East Main Street had a similar incident. State Police Charge Hopewell Man With Having Forged Checks WAPPINGER, N.Y. – A Hopewell Junction man has been accused by police of fleecing two acquaintances out of hundreds of dollars. Robert A. Huzar, 29, now faces felony charges in connection with the alleged check-forging scam, state police said. Last December, two Dutchess County men told authorities that Huzar had asked them to cash checks for him because he didn’t have a bank account. Several days later, the checks were returned because the account they were supposed to be drawn on was closed, police said.
