Before settling into the Hudson Valley, Zak! previously spent time in the New York Daily News newsroom and worked for hyperlocal digital news outlets on Long Island. He wrote sports for The Ithacan and The Ithaca Journal before taking his talents to the Pacific Northwest, where he served as the sports editor at the Shoshone News-Press until heading back east to work with Daily Voice.

2 Years After Langley Park Killing, Hyattsville Man Hit With Murder Charges: Police A 33-year-old man is facing murder charges nearly two years after a deadly double shooting in Maryland, police said. Hyattsville resident Rudy Lopez-Garcia was charged last week in the June 2023 murder of Aristides Flores Rosales, 22, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department. The original shooting happened around 2:50 a.m. on June 10, 2023, in the 8100 block of 14th Avenue in Langley Park, police said.
