Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Bloomfield PD Cracking Down On Drivers Who Don't Stop For Pedestrians The Bloomfield Police Department is conducting a special enforcement campaign in April targeting motorists who fail to stop for pedestrians in crosswalks, the Division of Public Safety said.  The enforcement campaign will be conducted at "several locations" in the township, officials also said.  Since 2010, drivers in New Jersey have been required to stop, and to stay stopped, while pedestrians are using a crosswalk. Bayonne Man, 65, Pulled Gun On Neighbor: Police An argument between neighbors last week escalated, resulting in an arrest Wednesday, Bayonne police said.  The two men, who know each other, began arguing in a common hallway of a multifamily home Saturday morning. One of them, Gerald Ponce, 65, returned to his apartment during the dispute and came back out with a .38-caliber revolver, which Ponce allegedly pointed at the other man. No one was hurt.  Ponce has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He was being held at the Hudson County Jail.

Newark Man Shot And Killed Tuesday Morning A Newark man was fatally shot early Tuesday morning on 20th Street, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said in a statement.  The victim, 47-year-old Niles L. Mayo, was shot in the 700 block around 2:30 a.m. and was rushed to University Hospital. He was pronounced dead a half-hour later.  No arrests have been made in the shooting. Union Police Adding Drone Unit, Joining A Growing Number Of Departments The Union Police Department has become the latest law enforcement agency to employ drones in public safety work, the agency announced Wednesday.  The UPD's Drone Unit will be called in on search and rescue operations, especially for missing children and elderly people, providing vital assistance for nighttime searches.  The small, flying craft will also be used in accident investigations and in searches for suspects when appropriate, the department said in a statement.  Capt.
