Virginia 'Ginny' Rutigliano, Former Yorktown Police Dispatcher, 79
YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Virginia “Ginny” Rutigliano, a former dispatcher for the Yorktown Police Department, died Thursday, March 9. She was 79.
A longtime Yorktown resident, she had lived for the past four years in Cary, Ill. Rutigliano was born in Kansas City, Mo. She served in the U.S. Army Women’s Corp. as a cryptographer.
Rutigliano was a police dispatcher in Yorktown for 20 years and also served as president of the local Civil Service Employees Association. She loved bowling. Her husband, Vito, died in 1977.
