Robert Milroy, 90, of Rhinebeck
RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- Robert Milroy, a lifelong resident of Rhinebeck, died Thursday, Feb. 23, at Northern Dutchess Hospital. He was 90.
He is the son of the late Robert J. and Irene M. (Staley) Milroy.
Milroy volunteered several days a week playing piano at the Rhinebeck Town Hall, the Thompson House, and the Baptist Home. He worked for 31 years as a letter carrier in the village of Rhinebeck, retiring in 1982.
Milroy was a member of the Third Lutheran Church of Rhinebeck.
A WWII Army veteran, he studied art at the New York Phoenix School of Design in New York City.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Kathleen A. Traudt of Poughkeepsie died on Friday, Feb. 24. She was 55.
Traudt had worked for 18 years as an inspector with IBM.
She is survived by two sons, Tyler and Kyle; her companion. Sherry Loucks; her father, Robert; sister, Deborah (Gregory) Boettcher; a brother, Jeffrey; grandchildren Kylie, Austin, Mason, Damien, and Layla; nieces Lindsay Cross, Heather Dionne, and Casey Traudt; and nephews Scotts Cross, Zach Traudt, and Ryan Elderkin.
She was predeceased by her mother, Phyllis Mulligan, and brother, Peter Traudt.

Trump's Words May Be Softer, But Only Actions Count, Say Lowey, Maloney
Although President Donald Trump may have softened his tone when outlining his goals in his first speech to Congress, it is his actions, rather than his words, that concern two Democratic members of Congress the most.
Sean Patrick Maloney, who represents the 18th district, and Nita Lowey, who represents the 17th, reacted Wednesday to the Tuesday address.
Maloney said he was “all for it,” if Trump wants to work together to rebuild roads and bridges, fight the heroin epidemic, or create good-paying jobs for Hudson Valley residents.

Metro-North Gets Green Light On $8M For New Security Cameras On All Trains
Metro-North Commuter Railroad has gotten the go-ahead signal to spend close to $8 million on cameras for all of its M7 cars.
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s board approved spending for the project, which will outfit 334 rail cars, at a meeting last week, according to MTA spokesman Aaron Donovan.
The contract was awarded to Bombardier Transportation, Inc., a Canadian company, according to mta.info.
Metro-North has 1,256 pieces of rolling stock, the MTA said.
