Lillian Van Roy, 95, of Tappan ORANGETOWN, N.Y. -- Lillian Van Roy died on Friday, Dec. 30, at her daughter and son-in-law’s home in Tappan. She was 95. Van Roy was 7-years-old when she, her mother and her brother came to the United States from Cluj, Romania, to be reunited with her father in New York City. She worked as a milliner before marrying Al Hyman in 1940. They lived in Yonkers and had two children: Roberta and Michael. Hyman died in 1966 and she married Simon Van Roy in 1971.
