Yorktown Woman Charged With Violating Order Of Protection YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A Yorktown woman has been charged with violating an order of protection, police said. Nancy M. Abrams, 44, was arrested Tuesday, Oct. 4, after authorities received a complaint that she had followed and verbally threatened the “protected party.” Abrams, who turned herself into police, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor, for violating the order from Westchester County Family Court, police said. She was released without bail and is to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, Oct. 6, police said.

Law Park Pavilion Project Tops Briarcliff Village Manager's Report BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- Briarcliff Manor is getting very close to picking a company to rebuild the pavilion in Walter W. Law Memorial Park, says Village Manager Philip E. Zegarelli. The pool pavilion was destroyed by a suspicious fire in the middle of December 2015. Firefighters were able to keep the massive blaze from spreading to the village’s library nearby and the pool itself was re-opened this summer.
