Teva Pharmaceuticals Shutting Down Pomona Plant, Laying Off Workers POMONA, N.Y. – Teva Pharmaceuticals, said to be one of the nation’s largest drug producers, is closing its Pomona plant and laying off dozens of employees, the company said this week. According to Teva communications director Michele Pelkowski, the plant at 223 Quaker Road has been winding down for a while. About 44 employees were let go between 2014 and 2015, according to bizjournals.com. The current round of job cutbacks involves 80 employees at the site, Pelkowski said.
